All art camps explore the use of many different materials - paint, clay, pastels, chalk, yarn, plaster, glue, ink, wood, etc. The different themes or topics of each camp serve as a jumping-off point for trying out all these materials, plus new ones, too! Campers will get to use and try out many materials they may not have experienced before, and develop exisiting skills further.

Can I send a snack with my child in the half-day camps?
Yes! Children in grades 1-3 attend half-day camps (9:00am - noon) and are encouraged to bring a small, healthy snack with them. Their teacher will let them know when they can eat during class.

Should I send my child with a packed lunch?
Yes. Children in grades 4-9 who attend full-day camps (9:00am - 3:30pm) must bring a packed lunch each day. Please do not pack anything in their lunch that requires a microwave. Also, please do not send soda as their lunch beverage - we would like the messes they make to be the fun, crafty ones and not explosive, sugary ones. Thanks!

The only exception for a packed lunch is if your child eats the Spiro's catered lunch (available every Thursday from 11am - 1:30pm in the Grand Hall) on the Thursday afternoon of their camp week. The cost is $6 for children 10 & under and the cost is $12 for children 11 & older, the same price as an adult ticket. The food selections can be found here. Please fill out the permission slip, with how many meals you would like to buy. This permission slip & money is due Wednesday, the day before you wish to eat. Permission slips will be passed out the Monday of the camp, but you can print it out here as well.

Whom do I tell about my child's allergies/health concerns/behavioral problems?
Please inform our Programming Manager, Jess May, before the camp starts about any of these concerns and we will do our best to accommodate them. You may email her here or give her a call at 636-255-0270.

When can I drop my child off in the morning?
Please bring your child to camp each morning no earlier than 8:40am. Please make sure to sign in your child each morning and ensure they have their name tag on. We require this for each child's safety.

Can I have a friend pick up my child at the end of the day?
If your child will be riding home with someone other than their guardian (whomever is listed as their guardian on their sign-up form), please give a signed permission slip to your child to give to their teacher or Jess May.

Can I have my child meet me on Main Street or in the parking lot?
No. At dismissal, please pick your child up inside the building or pull up to the doors where the monitors can see you. No child is allowed to leave without us seeing their adult guardian. We require this for each child's safety.
