Luck plays a role in each life, whether a person believes in the concept or simply wishes a colloquial "Good luck!" to a friend. This concept is instilled in numerous cultures and manifests itself in superstitions, myths, and rituals. Open to all media, Luck of the Draw is a juried exhibition that invites artists to submit work that explores the theory of luck, investigates happenstance, or portrays this abstract concept. All entries are due by Monday, January 16, 2017. Luck of the Draw will open on Friday, March 10, 2017 with an opening reception from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A gallery talk will be given prior to the reception at 5:30pm. Three awards will be given at the opening reception, two $200 juror’s choice awards and a $500 or Going Solo exhibition juror’s choice award. This exhibition closes on Friday, April 21, 2017. Calls for entry are available online at foundryartcentre.org or at the Foundry Art Centre, located at 520 North Main Center in St. Charles, Missouri.
