Opening Friday, November 18, the latest Foundry Art Centre juried exhibition Concerning The Spiritual explores the wonders beyond the corporeal and tangible. Artists from around the globe submitted their artwork, interpreting the mystery of spirituality. St. Louis artists and instructors Michael Quintero and Bob Langnas have juried an excellent exhibition, representing over 40 national & international artists. Both jurors will be in attendance at the opening reception and will host a gallery talk at 5:30pm before the reception begins.
Alongside Concerning The Spiritual, Ohio artist Brittany Ann Campbell, award winner from the Foundry Art Centre’s 2015 exhibition Circus!, will exhibit in Gallery III. Campbell’s playful sculptural work reimagines and combines objects considered lost or forgotten. Lake St. Louis artist Dave Adams will exhibit his luminous photographs as part of the Emerging Artist Series in the Ameristar Gallery.
Enjoy food and drinks while chatting with Concerning The Spiritual’s participating artists at the opening reception and be sure to head to the mezzanine level to visit with the Foundry Art Centre studio artists. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. These three exhibitions will open Friday, November 18, 2016 and close Friday, January 6, 2017. Financial assistance for these exhibitions is provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
