KA-POW! COMIC ART & STORYBOARDING
Action, lively characters and a sequential format have been a longstanding tradition in the comic arts. From a panel cartoon to a graphic novel, comic art storytelling appeals to audiences both young and old. In the last few decades there has been a rise of fine art which clearly have an influence from the comic genre. Original works influenced from traditional or contemporary comics executed in any media will be considered for the exhibition.

ENTRY FEE
Artists may submit up to three works for a non-refundable processing fee of $35.00. Foundry Art Centre members may submit up to three works for a non-refundable processing fee of $24.00. 

JUROR

Phil McAndrew is an illustrator and cartoonist from Syracuse, NY. He has created illustrations for books, magazines, newspapers, animated television spots, theatre scenery, clothing, posters, album covers, gallery exhibits, and websites. He currently lives in San Diego, CA.
After being awarded the portfolio-based four-year visual art scholarship, he graduated from Daemen College with a BFA in Illustration. His mini comics have been praised by the American Mustache Institute and on USA Today's Pop Candy blog. He contributed comics to a number of anthology books & websites including Top Shelf 2.0 and all three volumes of the You Ain't No Dancer books from New Reliable Press. Phil is a founding member of Found Hat Press, a collective of young illustrators and cartoonists. He's also worked as an educator, teaching art and drawing to young children as part of an after-school program.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists 18 years and older, world-wide, both amateur and professional, working in all mediums, styles, and schools of thought.

SPECIFICATIONS
All media in 2D & 3D forms will be considered. 2D work must be suitably framed and have all hardware ready for hanging.
A maximum of 3 entries per artist may be submitted for consideration. Artists may submit three jpegs (limit image to 1024 pixels on the longest side.) Limit 2 jpegs per artwork: 1 full view and 1 detail/alternate view. 
Title each jpeg file to correspond with the # on the entry form as such: yourlastname.entry#.jpg
Submissions that do not comply with these rules will not be presented to the juror.

PUBLICITY
The Foundry Art Centre reserves the right to photograph and reproduce, in color or black & white, all artworks accepted for this exhibition, regardless of copyright, for educational and/or publicity purposes.

SALES, LIABILITY, AND INSURANCE
The Foundry Art Centre will retain a 35% commission on all sales directly attributed to the exhibition. All prices (including frame), set by the artist at the time of entry to include the 35% commission. The price will remain the same price for the duration of the exhibition.
The Foundry Art Centre provides standard insurance at 50% of retail on all exhibited works while on the premises. Artist is responsible for work in transit to and from.

DELIVERY & PICK-UP
Accepted works are to be hand-delivered or shipped in a reusable crate(s)/ carton(s). Include with each work two 3'' x 5'' cards listing Name, Address, Phone, Title, Media, Dimensions, and Price. Attach one of the cards to the back or base of 3D work.
Works must be shipped at the artist's expense to the Foundry Art Centre. Accepted artists shipping their work must include prepaid charges for return shipping. Hand-delivered works must be picked up at the close of the exhibition or work becomes property of the FAC to dispose of as it sees fit.
