The Foundry’s Kids Workshops are a great opportunity for your child to explore their creative side and learn new artistic skills. Children ages 5-12 will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on, art-making experiences that will help them learn, explore, and create confidently. Please note that this is a drop-off class. Feel free to tour our current exhibitions or chill in our lounge while your child creates!
After School Art Club
Thursdays | Ages 7-11 | 5:00 to 6:00 pm | $10 per week
New at the Foundry Art Centre, our Art Club is an opportunity for kids to explore, invent, experiment and CREATE! Students will explore various art forms from painting to drawing to sculpture and more. This drop-in weekly art club is for ages 7-11 and will meet every Thursday from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Sign up for each week that you want to attend. Sessions include all materials and tools.
KIDS CLAY WORKSHOPS
Planters with Personality
Build a custom, kiln-fired plant pot
Saturday, May 4 | 11:00 am to Noon | Ages 5-12 | $40 | Limit 15
Come play in the mud and unleash your creativity at our Kid’s Clay Planter Workshop. Foundry Education Coordinator, Christine Tavares will instruct students as they use hand-building skills to create an awesome planter with personality. Students of all experience levels are invited to participate in this clay workshop. Students will create and then glaze their sculptures, and the finished pieces will be ready to pick up 2-3 weeks later.
